I have dreamt of India for a long time, wanted to see it with my own eyes at least a small part of this ancient and mysterious country. My journey began on October 28, 2017 and lasted 7 days. From the first day on the Golden Triangle of India, Purshottam Namah was with us, a wonderful man and an excellent guide, from him I’ve learned a lot of interesting and amazing things about this mysterious country. I’m struck by the beauty of the Akshardham Temple with lifelike elephants and peacocks. In the Birla temple, Delhi our guide explained to us what is written on the boards and how correctly it should be pronounced, some mantras were sung by him. A visit to the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib completed the first day of our travel to Delhi with lots of positive impressions. As for hotels where we stayed, wonderful meals were served, we liked the vegetarian buffet. The second day gave us an unforgettable sensations and emotions for a life time. We felt taken with the spirit of Vrindavan, where we visited the temple of Krishna-Balarama, from where we brought decorations like tulsi and sandalwood. Taj Mahal enchanted us, Purtshottam also suggested visiting the theatre in Agra. An unforgettable experience, the story of Shah Jahan and his love has moved me. In the evening we went to Hotel Shiraz, which is known for its special atmosphere, there was an Indian goddess made of stone, almost lifelike. Very impressed. Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daula, the Yamuna River after the excursion with Purshottam only added more positive impressions. A very good place was the village of Abhaneri with its stepwell, the guide went with us a to the ancient Hindu temple which is also nearby. The special city of Jaipur with the ancient Amber Fort also struck a chord in us with its beauty and majestic structure. We also visited the stone-cutting workshops with Purshottam and saw very beautiful products made of marble, carpets and textiles. The driver who took us around throughout our trip all these days was professional and modest. The City Palace in Jaipur with his museum and Jantar Mantar did not stop to surprise us with its beauty. The overall impression of the trip was wonderful and excellent, the guide very professionally conveyed all the information to us, it is clear how he loves his country. In the future, we dream to visit more of this beautiful country with such ancient and unique culture.

We both enjoy reading through our India Journals and reliving our time there. Clearly Colin is keen to return, for on only our second night at home, he was asking me where I would like to go for winter holidays, was there anywhere I would prefer to India !!
Do hope you will keep in touch Deepika Sharma, we’d love to hear of your journey through life and of course we do hope at some point you will make it over here to England.
We would be so delighted to have you stay with us to reciprocate some of the care you showered on us.
Fond regards from us both.
