Stay to watch out for: DevVasa

Privacy is ensured, with just 3 bedrooms, large gardens, & plenty of open spaces with native trees. Two spacious rooms are located on the first floor and one large room is on the ground floor – all very cozy! The rooms each have a theme, different in style & atmosphere but all decorated with the same attention for detail & finish. Equipped with all modern amenities, ensuite facilities, a sit-out in front of the house make it a very comfortable place.

The highlight for me was sitting in the Gazebo; soaking in the winter sun and watching life go by with all the villagers’ going about their daily business. The two dogs Reshma & Thunder gave me good company as they love having people around. The cook, Ranjeet is most the important person around feeding you scrumptious home cooked meals. I actually asked him to make Khichdi for me, which was comforting after all the restaurant food I had consumed.

There are plenty of activities one can do whilst at DevVasa. All activities are aimed towards sustained economic growth and development while preserving the local heritage, ethos and tradition of the people and their surroundings. From a Cycling Tour into the wilderness, to a Temples tour, a walking Tour into the neighbouring village to Organic Farming and Cooking Classes. There is something for everyone - a peep into the everyday life of a rural Indian village.

I would recommend this for Individual travellers who would like to experience a home stay enveloped in natural settings, away from the city buzz where you can unwind yourself completely.
