The Kovalam Palace

The Kovalam Palace; India’s only luxury heritage Palace on the cliff-top overlooking the Arabian Sea, is now open.

Originally commissioned by Her Highness Sethu Lakshmi Bayi the Regent of Travancore in 1932, it served as the summer retreat of erstwhile Travancore Royal Family.

The granite structure situated on the cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea is the nucleus of the resort complex; The Leela Raviz Kovalam.

Each of the four suites are unique and are themed to reflect the various moods and dedicated to the deep Indian roots.

The Kovalam Palace provides the essence of Kerala Royalty.

Quiet by the River

Downstream of the Bhoothathankettu Dam, the Periyar River splits forming 8 to 10 islands. Quiet by the River is located on one of the larger islands, surrounded by the verdant canvas of the Malayattoor forest range.

Quiet by the River is less than an hour’s drive from the Cochin International Airport.

It has four lodges, right on the banks of the river, that offer exquisite views of the gushing streams and the lush forest.

With a wide variety of flora and fauna, the lodge offers the opportunity to spot rare species of birds and animals amidst the evergreen and semi-evergreen forests of the mountain reserve. Quiet by the River is a part of the CGH Earth Experience Hotels.
