  • Explore the country witnessing the flourishing of art and architecture under several dynasties and the evolution of styles. Visit sites inscribed by UNESCO in its World Heritage List, counted amongst the Seven Wonders of the World, and exquisite temples, palaces, and tombs that tell stories through their now silent edifices. Marvel at the gorgeous life-like paintings of Ajanta Caves, the stunning temple architecture of Khajuraho, the hidden gem that is Orchha, and other places.
  • Travel through the varied landscape of India to understand the kind of art that has thrived here since centuries. In Mandawa, located in the semi- arid Shekhawati region of Rajasthan popularly known as India's 'open-air art gallery' you will get to see massive mansions, colourful wall frescoes and murals made in the 18th and 19th centuries. In Mumbai, the financial capital of the country you will be surprised to see how the 3000 year old Warli Tribal art form has thrived.
  • Walk around in the bazaars of Jaipur and take lessons in Rajasthani cuisine from a local resident followed by dinner with the family. In Varanasi, witness the evening aarti (prayer ceremony) performed on the banks of River Ganga followed by an early morning boat-ride in the river observing the daily rituals of hundreds of people whose lives are intrinsically linked with the river. Walk through the narrow lanes of Varanasi to see the Durga Puja celebrations under way.
